I always love Memorial Day! Appreciation for the Flag is an important priority to us. I want Eli to know just how privileged we are to live in this great country.
For Memorial Day we tried to teach him a little more about the soldiers that fight and have fought for us and how thankful we are for them.
They are our Heroes.
Christopher was on shift, so the kids and I headed to CrossFit to do Murph.
I LOVE doing tribute, hero workouts with our box. The energy is amazing, everyone feels like they're dying and we are all paying tribute so a great human soul that has gone before us.
I'm always emotional during these workouts and I love how CrossFit recognizes these heroes.
Anyways, I did my incredibly modified Murph workout and cheered everyone else on that was doing it once I finished.
Once we were home we ate lunch outside and had some cousin time playing in the sprinkler and with water balloons.
Noah couldn't pop them with his hands so he got creative.
Faces like these make me want to bottle them up forever. You know those moments when your heart wants to burst and you try to take a million mental pictures so that you don't forget this feeling of absolute perfection with your babies exactly this way?
That was this moment.
Thank you to all the men and women that have fought to give me this moment with my kids. To be free to be their mama. To teach them, love them and cherish them.
We are forever grateful to you!
